Lesson 12-SP Theory-Case Study 1

In this lesson we will learn how to find the significators for an event based on the Constelaation theory. We will name the signifying planets as SP. We shall take the ascendant according to the number quoted by the querent. We cast a horary chart for the moment of judgment.

The query is about going abroad. According to both Vedic and Western astrology a strong IX house indicates chances of visiting an alien land. In the example chart, Jupiter aspects the IX house powerfully thereby indicating that his ambition will be fulfilled. The house is occupied by exalted Saturn ruler of the XII which house is also to be considered for this matter. Read .....

Lesson 11-Predicting events with Sub Theory

On some occasions we are not provided with the birth particulars by the querent because either he doesn't know or he doesn't have them. In such cases we can predict using the Horary system, either using ruling planets or by getting a number within 249 (also read a previous topic on sub theory). The number relates to a particular point of the zodiac which we take as the ascendant.
We take the moment of judgment for erecting the chart, not the moment the number is quoted. We insert the planets in the chart, ignore the actual ascendant and take the zodiacal point which the number refers, as the ascendant (lagna).

Read an example analysis: No 247 was quoted.

Lesson 10-House Significators

Significators play an important roll in predicting events in Krishnamurti Paddhati (system). It is based on the constellation Theory.
According to Krishnamurti, occupants of a house are stronger than the ruler. So planets in the constellations of the occupants are more predominant in giving results than those deposited in the constellations of the ruler of the house. Of course, we eliminate those transiting the subs of retrograde planets. The event happens in the period ruled by these significators.

Lesson 9-RP Theory-case study 3

We can apply the Ruling Planet theory for timing of events when we judge a query based on the Udu dasa period!
Note down the ruling planets at the time of judgement of the query. Eliminate those deposited in the sub or star of retrograde planets (other than the nodes). Consider the Dasa (Major) and Bukti (Minor) periods. The event will happen when the dasa and bukti period of the ruling planets operates! Read ........

Lesson 8-RP Theory-case study 2

Ruling Planet Theory:
Example analysis: The query is about marriage. Time of judgement 8-29 pm on Nov 5 at Bangalore.
Study the table.
Mrigasira (Taurus) is on the ascendant. So lagna star ruler is Mars.
Lagna sign ruler is Venus.
Moon is in Purvabhadra Pada star in Aquarius. So Jupiter and Saturn also become ruling planets.
Day is Saturday. But Saturn is already in the list.
Now, the ruling planets are Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn. Note that none of these is deposited in the constellation or sub of Jupiter which is retrograde. In that case we have to eliminate such planets.
Since Jupiter is in Aries ruled by Mars, a ruling planet, we can conclude that marriage will take place before May 2012 when the priest of the demigods changes sign. Assuming that it will happen after this month, the earliest period is when Sun transits Sagittarius owned by Jupiter between December 15 and January 15. But as generally this month is avoided for marriage by the Hindus, we can safely say that the wedding bell will ring in the month of Capricorn between January 5 and Feb 15. To fix the day consider the position of Moon in the same way and for the time of the day, the ascendant.

Lesson 7-RP Theory-case study 1

One can understand the principles of KP astrology only by studying concrete examples. In the last lesson I gave you an idea of the Ruling Planets and how they can help us predict an event. Now, we will study some concrete examples. Read ....

Lesson 6- Ruling Planet Theory

One of the most wonerful techniques of Krishnamurti Paddhati (system) is the Ruling Planet theory. What is the theory? The ruling planets at the time of judgment of a query will be the same as the ruling planets when the event happens. This applies to only horary (a method of delineation based on the present position of planets).

What are ruling planets? They are the ascendant star ruler, ascendant sign ruler, Moon star ruler, Moon sign ruler and the week day ruler. Why do we take Moon? Because, Moon represents the mind and Sun represents the soul. Man does good and bad deeds through his mind.

We consider the moment of judgment because, the moment when the query comes to the mind is like the moment of conception. The moment when the event fructifies is like the delivery of the baby!

In the next lesson we will learn how to judge a query using the ruling planet technique.

Lesson 5- Constellation Theory

What are constellations? They are the apparent divisions of the zodiac based on the movement of Moon. Go through this article for a detailed explanation. Krishnamurti said that a planet offers the results of the houses owned and occupied by its star ruler stronger than its own. Before the advent of KP astrology, astrologers had been using the constellation position of only the luminary Moon, that too for timing of events.

For instance, let us consider a horoscope with ascendant Scorpio. Let Jupiter be at 14-20 Cancer and Saturn at 10 Virgo. Jupiter will be in the constellation Pushya. Pushya is ruled by Saturn which is in the XI house and owns houses III and IV. Jupiter is in IX and rules houses II and V. According to the Constellation Theory, Jupiter will offer the results of the houses XI, III and IV more predominantly than houses III, V and IX.

A discussion of the Constellation Theory with illustrations can be found here.

Lesson 4- Sub Theory

In the seventies an astrologer of repute emerged in South India. He was professor Krishnamurti from Chennai, Tamilnadu India. He was a post graduate who obtained State Rank. He started his research in astrology and later got the blessings of the then Kanchi Shri Sankaracharya. He hit upon the idea of dividing the constellations into subdivisions called subs. This gave him a great success. He was able to predict accurately to the seconds and also in detail.

Krishnamurti made three discoveries. One was that the ruling planets at the time judgment of a query will be the same as those operating when the event happens. Secondly, he said that a planet offers the results of its star ruler more predominantly than itself. He also advocated the sub theory. We will learn in detail in course of time.

The great astrologer rose to fame and started the magazine 'Astrology and Adirshta' to propagate his theories. He visited Singapore and other countries. In his 60s he suddenly took ill while flying and later died.

Lesson 3-Timing of events-Udu Dasa system

An astrologer has to predict whether an event will happen or not, the details of the event and when it will materialize. We will now learn how to find the time when an event will occur.

There are various systems in vogue in Vedic astrology of which Udu Dasa system is the one widely used with accuracy. Read this article to know about the method of timing of events.

Lesson 2- Planetary relationship

In Vedic astrology, planets are friendly, inimical or neutral. How to ascertain this? There are two kinds of relationships temporary and natural. When these two are integrated you know whether a planet is friendly or not to another. We should know about Uccha (Exalted) and Moolatrikona (Dignified) positions of of the planets. You can find a detailed discussion here.

Lesson 1- The signs of the zodiac

From time immemorial men of all countries and cultures have explored the sky and correlated the movement of the celestial bodies to the events in life. There are different systems of astrology, Vedic, Western, Chinese etc. And even in Vedic system and there are many sub systems too propounded by the Rishis. We will take up a the KP system advocated by the late Krishnamurti.

Before we begin to predict things we should know the basics. With this in view our first lesson tells us about the signs of the zodiac, which is the pathway of the luminaries and the other planets. You will do well to read this document

Welcome!

I welcome you to my blog where you can learn astrology in an easy way. We are going to learn KP Astrology, a system of astrology developed by the late professor KS Krishnamurti, a great astrologer of our times.

Read each and every lesson and save it for future reference. Enjoy!
